Playing D&D on an online tabletop has been a goal of mine for about two years. I’ve had MapTool (available here) working for a while, but I did not like the complexity of the frameworks and I thought it took far too long to make a map I liked. I recently learned about Pymapper, however, and was excited because I own all of the D&D tiles and use them frequently. Last night, I made a map very quickly in Pymapper and exported it over… It looked awesome.
So, here’s the deal. I want to run an online game with new people and explore this style of game. It would be a casual game from 7pm to 11pm-ish EST on Thursdays. You would need Maptool (the latest build) and I would prefer to use Skype for VOIP. If you’re interested in getting your face mashed in (I am the Evil GM, after all), leave me a message below.
I’d be interested. I don’t have Skype or Maptool yet, but I’m willing to get them. And I’ll play pretty much any role. Am I going to need DDI?
It would be helpful, mostly for character creation.
Bah. I’ve never needed a character builder before (looks at gigantic pile of books)…maybe I should renew my subscription.
I generally like to look at the characters between sessions, but I don’t really care.
you would pick Thursdays for this. If I can be there only every other week I’d love to participate. I already have other things scheduled the first and third Thursday of each month.
I’m cool with every other week
