Work has been kind of kicking my butt this week, so you get this. You can find them in the (old) monster creator here.
This was one of the first monsters I created and one of the first monsters my players encountered that had an at-will AoE.
I designed the Tihari to be a creepy weapon left over from an ancient war. My players encountered a room full of dormant Tihari. They quickly realized that they had to get well away from the monsters.
These monsters were created for a scenario in which the characters had to steal a magical ring. The fight was very interesting because it completely changed the victory conditions.
This monster is intended to fight in an environment where all light sources are reduced to aura 1. The intention was for the players to have to choose between staying in lit squares (and taking more and more damage) vs. standing in the dark (and possibly getting ambushed by the titan).
Swarming Bones remains one of my favorite powers.
This monster (and the fight that included it) was inspired by the “finding the sword” scene in the original Conan movie.
I strongly considered making a “pirates” category.
The blowgun attack remains a running joke in my campaign because it does as much damage as a longbow.
Big & Scaly
These monsters were created for a “cascade” encounter where a room full of Lizardmen (minions) are participating in a ritual to summon the lizard god. The shaman running the ritual kept “promoting” followers into these forms until he was finished with the rite, at which point everything but the shaman was sucked up into the following:
